PHYSIOTHERAPY
Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy provides expert assessment and treatment for pain, injuries, and movement disorders. HCPC registered clinicians deliver personalised care to help you recover and move well.
Your journey in Physiotherapy will often commence with a comprehensive clinical examination where you will be asked about your symptoms and these will then be assessed physically using several appropriate testing strategies.
A Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist is a HCPC regulated and chartered clinician who is able to manage a large array of pain related injuries, syndromes and diseases that exist across our lifespan through trauma or atraumatic related experiences.

How Physiotherapy Helps Relieve Pain
As the title suggests, ‘Physio’ – ‘therapists’
Assess the key culprits physically, offer a diagnosis or clinical impression for your painful condition and then apply a range of treatments within your appointment to try and modify pain responses and in many cases make pain go away.
This is achieved using manual approaches such as soft tissue mobilization, joint mobilization or manipulation.
In many cases, a Physiotherapist will also prescribe physical movements or exercises with a view to improve quality and range of motion or strengthen a desired group of structures.
In routine cases, each exercise should be ‘prescribed’ as such to change the way in which you move or to target tissue in a such a manner to stimulate adaptation over a time span. This will be discussed thoroughly when provided.
