Yoga with Naz

Join Nazan in an hour and 15 minutes of gentle hatha yoga with influence in somatics inspired by the facilitators experience in sight loss, chronic pain, and fatigue (Fibromyalgia). During the session, the aim is to ground, recalibrate and deepen your connection with yourself, enhancing a sense of body awareness and intuition - a deeply explorative, sensory and meditative process. Currently studying in yoga somatics for trauma, fatigue stress, and burnout,

Nazan is keen to put her knowledge to practice and share with you, some insightful ways to feel empowered within your body despite the doubts and barriers that may come with living with a health condition/s.

She aims to facilitate accessible classes, so please send any thoughts or questions to yogawithnazz@gmail.com if you feel called too.

Nazan Kaplankiran trainee yoga teacher

*Important

Nazan lives with chronic fatigue and chronic pain which may sometimes affect her teaching due to brain fog. Although saying this, teaching energises and centres her. She also has 10% of her vision due to a condition named 'Rod Cone Dystrophy'. This affects her ability to recognise faces and pick up social cues. Her conditions inspire the way in which she teaches, and you may find that she strives to create a very grounded and somewhat sensory spacess suitable for people with hyper sensitivity.

Testimonials

"Breath work felt like the pillar of the session and I found it incredibly powerful to feel my body be filled with oxygen like it never has been before”. - Will

"I had a group Yoga session with Naz yesterday (October 2023) and she was so lovely and attentive. One of our friends had a wrist injury and Naz was careful to amend the routine so it could accommodate her injury. I found this attention to detail very mindful and professional. The whole session was lovely and I found there was a full body stretch. It was lovely to be given information about each area and what we may be holding there, the power of affirmations and Naz’s own wisdom on her take with grounding. Her affirmation “I am here” was lovely for all of us to embody. At the end of the session, we all let loose and were encouraged to listen to our bodies. The flow from start to finish was so thorough and a full experience. The beginning consisted of tuning in, releasing tension from the body and choosing an “I am” statement for ourselves. That was so nice and really incorporated the mind, body and spirit connection. I also found the direction for us to listen to our own bodies at the end so affirming and lovely. Thank you for a wonderful session Naz!" - Justine
