MASSAGE

ABBY LAFFERTY

Abby qualified as a Holistic Massage Therapist 8 years ago.

Her treatments are based on the Swedish system which uses pressure to stimulate or soothe muscles to bring a sense of well-being, calmness and serenity to the body.

LYNDA EFSTATHIOU

I’m Lynda and I’m a level 4 qualified Sports Massage therapist. Sports massage differs from other types of massage by focussing directly and deeply on the affected areas. Sports massage utilises a number of varied techniques to reduce pain and tension, increase circulation and leave you with a greater range of motion. Many people worry that Sports Massage may be painful.  I always encourage a two way dialogue as to the level of pressure that will produce the best result from your treatment. This allows you to have more involved control over your treatment throughout the process.

I’ve always had an interest in massage for its multiple health benefits. Not only does it produce fantastic physical results but it has a profound effect on emotional and psychological wellbeing. To me each treatment is a gift of wellbeing, allowing you to move through the other areas of your life feeling more relaxed and pain free.

DIANA FULLILOVE

I have been working in the fitness Industry for the past 35 years, a yoga teacher and Pilates teacher for the past 6 years. I am extremely passionate  about health & well-being physically & mentally, in 2007 I qualified as a massage therapist to compliment my work as a Fitness instructor. Through my love of exercise I realised the importance of keeping both the body and mind maintained not just through exercise but also through wellbeing and holistic approaches such as meditation, acupressure massage, Indian head massage and reiki.

Since 2019 I continued to further my knowledge in massage and I am now qualified in both acupressure massage and sports massage. My love of yoga and the philosophy of yoga has helped me create my own unique massage therapy which helps lengthen and stretch tight muscles while releasing built up waste products. My style of massage helps the mind, the physical body and internal bodily system feel calm and rejuvenated, helping to balance the nervous system with a new release of vital chi/prana.

On the personal note I have 2 beautiful grown up daughters Jade & Dulcie and I live with my gorgeous Jack Russell “Stanley” Stanley and I love long country dog walks and going Salsa dancing but obviously not with Stanley.

Swedish Massage.

Ideal after sporting activities or just as a method of relaxation.  It is designed specifically to increase oxygen flow in the blood and release toxins from the muscles.

Indian Head Massage

Involves massage to the upper back, shoulders, arms, neck, face and scalp.  It can help relieve stress related problems such as eyestrain, headaches and neck & shoulder stiffness.

Hot Stone Massage

A full body massage using warm oil and hot stones to ease tension and relax mind and muscles.

After the massage, especially a deep massage, you may feel a bit sore for a few days afterwards. It is also important to drink a lot of water to flush the toxins out of the body.

“Touch the body. Heal the mind. Calm the spirit.”
